Mike Morasco and his family moved to Escondido, in 1967, when he was twelve years of age. He attended school at Glen View Elementary, Orange Glen Junior High and Orange Glen High School, graduating in 1974. During college, Mike married his high school sweetheart, Pam Marler.
After two years of volunteer service in South America, where he became fluent in Spanish, earning his college degree and California State license in Physical Therapy, Mike and his wife Pam returned to Escondido to start his professional career. In 1984 Mike established his own practice and business.
Mike and Pam are the proud parents of their four children, their spouses, and their seven (amazing) grandchildren.
As a long-time community volunteer & leader, Mike has a passion for serving the city where he grew up and raised his family.
In 2010, Mike was first appointed to the Escondido City Council. He was successfully reelected in 2012 and again in 2016. He now seeks another term on the City Council to continue working for the people of Escondido.
As your Councilman, Mike has focused on enhancing Escondido’s financial security in order to fund the essential services Escondido’s residents rely on while keeping our taxes low, ensuring our neighborhoods are clean, safe, and protected through public safety and infrastructure, and promoting economic growth to bring good jobs and needed housing to a prosperous Escondido.
